What this wine tells us
This new product from a well-known winery from the Mount Lentiscal region did not leave us indifferent for several reasons, among them, its quality. Los Lirios is the first to experiment, publicly, with foreign varieties in Gran Canaria, the result being this wine that emerged in 2013. It is spicy and vegetal, though pleasant and moderate; with hints of pepper and oaky. It stands out on the palate, with a coupage of varieties that makes it complex and powerful, as well as providing body and flavor. Very tasty.
Its dancing partner
Very nice with good charcoal-grilled meat.
Trivia
We like its frankness when it comes to varieties that are not traditional ones from the region. Because in the wine world it is not all about homogeneity and standardization; because, once in a while, it is also fun to break the rules.
