BODEGAS TENEGUÍA
Teneguía Malvasia Reserva
White sweet wine aged one year in the barrel and three years in the bottle from 100% aromatic Malvasia grapes
La Palma Protected Designation of Origin

What this wine tells us
The next step for educating the palate: a wine that usually doesn’t reach the market for five years after its production and the longer you wait, the more balanced it becomes. Its intense precious color makes you expect a cloying wine but – and it’s not unique in the Canary Islands in that respect – its looks are deceiving. First, the aromas are reminiscent of black tea, with light undertones of glue that make it fresh and original; the finish of raisins and apricot is outstanding. A wine of short sips, for dessert, with an almost perfect balance of sugar, acidity, and salinity. A gem!

Its dancing partner
Remarkable for a languorous dessert, letting time drift by.

Trivia
In the winery we were told that the illustrious and highly original taster, Isabel Mijares, described it very boldly: “This wine tears panties off”…
