What this wine tells us
For some, a cult wine. It has stood out since its first year of production as an unusual wine with personality. The best time to drink it is from May on, but at that time there are only few bottles left on the market because of its limited production (1,000 bottles). In this wine, the Vijariego shows one of the Canary Islands’ best sides, with a fine, elegant, and intense bouquet that demonstrates personality and distinction, as well as good maturation, from the very first encounter. Fine notes of melon. On the palate, it reaches its climax: it is broad, dense, smooth, crisp, with a great personality, an ideal companion to high-end gastronomy.

Its dancing partner
A must with sama (a type of sea bream) prepared the traditional Canary way.

Trivia
The grape for this wine comes from the highest and outermost vineyards of the island, in Vega de Acusa (Artenara).
