Eugenio Reverón Sierra purchased the winery in the estate of Los Quemados in 1947 in order to produce wines: the estate was equipped with a vineyard and a winery with a press to crush the grapes and chestnut barrels of 400, 600, and 800 liters.

Many tourists on their way to the Teide National Park stop to sample wines.
In the best years, the winery produced 30,000 liters that were sold in bulk. “The winters were very tough,” recalls his son Diego. But in the late 1980s, bulk wine was no longer profitable, because consumers started to demand bottled wine, so he stopped making wine entirely, and for several years he sold his grapes to the local winery in Arico.

To make the production of the estate more profitable, Diego Reverón decided to make wine again in Los Quemados, a 12-hectare vineyard 1,300 meters above sea level en route to the Teide National Park. His project of tourism for wine lovers uses the winery and his new bottled wines (that bear a label that certifies their ecological farming) as a tourist attraction for those who travel the South of the island and want to enjoy nice wines and views. Most of the grapes are Listán Blanco, in addition to other varieties such as Albillo, which has won the gold medal at the Challenge International du Vin de Burdeos, and Malvasia, Moscatel, Listán Negro, Negramoll, Tempranillo, and Syrah. All these grapes together make up the winery’s eleven wines and two brands (Pagos de Reverón and Los Quemados),of which 60% are sold at its own shop.
