What this wine tells us
The story of this wine is the modern history of the wine from Lanzarote. A wine that marked a rebirth in the way the quality of Malvasia is viewed on the island, and that opened a new border, as far as the image and the presentation of the product is concerned. It is a dry wine that has gentle aroma, with flavors of fruit and reminiscent of herbs, discreet and clean. A wine easy to drink, balanced and fresh.

Its dancing partner
It is a must with a good skin-side down grilled fish from the Island.

Trivia
Its bottle of Italian design is an icon within the island and, surely, the national panorama. It accomplished that this wine is easily recognizable on whatever table or shelve of a wine store, which made it more commercial.

What this wine tells us
With this minority variety, new forms of work in the elaboration of white wines are created on the island. From plants with upright vegetation that favors its organic crop (thanks to the increased breathing of the bunches) and thicker skin from which more aromatic and structural compounds can be extracted for the finished wine. The nose is not as fruity as the Malvasia and, in some occasions, it can even seem that it is lacking some oxygen to express itself better, but when it expands it shows hints of anise and even balsamic. On the palate you notice the difference with denser and wetter mouthfeel, and an acidity that predicts its good storage in the bottle.

Its dancing partner
It is a must with a semi-mature or smoked cheese as an appetizer.

Trivia
“Recently, in a vertical tasting of wines of the vinery from 2003, we were able to appreciate the storage capacity of Diego, we found bottles from 2006 and 2007 with a very good evolution”, explained Valdera. We guess one has to buy them to store them.
