What this wine tells us
A traditional wine, not just because its production is quite respectful when it comes to embodying the countryside’s features of the grape in the bottle, nor because a large proportion of the grapes come from traditionally string shaped cultivation, but also because it reminds us to some extent of the red wines we used to drink in Northern Tenerife years ago. It is an easy, mature wine with certain lacteal and fruity notes, which improves when it is exposed to oxygen – almost a trademark of the house. It is not soft; but tasteful and personal.
Its dancing partner
It is a must with a traditional stew in Northern Tenerife, for example, a pea stew with hardboiled eggs.
Trivia
In the winery they call it “village” because it is the wine that represents the region, in this case Valle de la Orotava, and reflects the mixture of different plots and the work of various viticulturists.
